Samsung dual-SIM Galaxy S Duos gets a September launch, will hit Europe first

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S Duos today. This dual-SIM smartphone borrows heavily from the Galaxy S III design-wise, yet it’s got midrange specs at best. 

The ability to hold two SIM cards at the same time will be the main selling point here. Speaking of that, the Galaxy S Duos has dual-standby, which means you can be talking through one SIM, while still being notified of an incoming call on the other. This is, frankly, how dual-SIM should have worked from day one.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos has a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 1 GHz single-core processor, a 5 MP rear camera, a secondary front-facing camera, 4 GB of built-in storage, microSD expansion, all the usual connectivity options, and a 1,500 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
