Buoyed by its temporary win, Apple made a request back in November for the court to include more Samsung smartphones and tablets that it believes infringe on its invalid patents, a list that includes the Galaxy S3 in Jelly Bean flavor, the Galaxy S3 Mini, and a few other devices.

Especially for the Galaxy S3 Mini, Samsung said that it was rather odd of Apple to target a device that’s yet to be officially released in the United States. But Cupertino continued to press on by reasoning that it’s already selling on Amazon.

After arguing back and forth, and an assurance from Samsung that it’s not “making, using, selling, offering to sell or importing the Galaxy S III Mini in the United States”, a court filing shows that Apple has finally agreed to drop the Galaxy S3 Mini from the list of allegedly infringing devices.

While things are looking up for the smaller Galaxy S3 variant, Apple said that it retains the right to change its mind if the circumstance changes.

Samsung’s inductive charging units for the Samsung Galaxy S3 aren’t quite ready yet, but that won’t stop Verizon from offering a charging pad of their own. They’re selling an inductive charging pad for $50 alongside an official Samsung charging back plate for $40 according to PhoneScoop.

While it’s unfortunate the official charging pad couldn’t be ready in time we’re sure folks who have been looking forward to it won’t mind this makeshift combination. If you prefer to get both pieces from Samsung then you’ll have to wait until September. Otherwise, call your local Verizon store and see if they’ve gotten any of these things in stock.Back when we met the Galaxy S III for the very first time, Samsung promised a wireless charging solution would be coming soon to its sleek and potent slab.

Unfortunately, Sammy’s power-boosting companion’s been hit by hapless delays that have prevented it from seeing the light of day. Now, thanks to a few recent shots from Phone Arena, it looks like at least some S3 owners could see a bundle in the near future, albeit not the official one from the Korean outfit. According to the site’s kind tipster, Verizon’s allegedly pricing the charging station at $50, while the rear case is expected to be around $40 — making it nearly $90 for the entire kit. Naturally, this could change at any given moment, but hey, at least we know it’s out there.
