Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G LTE gets Jelly Bean update

Sprint has made the Jelly Bean update available for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. However, you shouldn’t expect the smartphone to inform you about the new software version — rather you’ll have to manually make the phone check for updates by going to “Settings” -> “System updates” -> “HTC software update” and finally tapping the “Check Now” button. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for January 3rd when the carrier will start sending push notifications to the users.

As for what’s included in the new software, you’ll get Wi-Fi authentication improvements, personalized ringtones, Sprint Connections Optimizer, Face Unlock and app improvements (including browser, YouTube, Google+, Gmail, Maps and more), improved camera (Auto Portrait and Sightseeing Mode capabilities), ability to display photos and video albums according to when or where taken in the Gallery, Tap and Go function to connect the phone to select Beats Audio speakers.
