Now this is a deal. The Nexus 7 32GB version is on sale at Gamestop for as low as $179.99. Okay it’s actually a refurbished Nexus 7. But still it’s fully functional and 32GB of storage and Nexus goodness from Google for under $180. That’s pretty hard to beat. With the Nexus 7 selling this cheaply, there’s no reason for any Honeycomb or even Gingerbread tablets to still be in use. I’m sure everyone can find $180 laying around somewhere, right?
Yes it’s “GameStop Premium Refurbished” which isn’t the worst thing in the world. Since it’s guaranteed to work, and it shouldn’t have a cracked or broken screen. There could possibly be some scratches on the back. But nothing a case can’t cover up. Which you can pick a few up from Amazon for very cheap. You’ll get the Tablet, power brick and USB cable, but probably not a manual or box. If you want the Nexus 7 manual, you can find it in Google Play Books. It is usually added to everyone’s library when you sign into the device. GameStop also offers free 7 day returns with no questions asked on all refurbished hardware. So go ahead and take a chance.
Now for those that may have forgotten, here are the specs for the Nexus 7
•7-inch 1280×800 resolution ~216 pixels per inch
•Quad-Core Tegra 3 clocked at 1.2GHz
•1GB of RAM
•32GB internal storage
•4325mAh battery
•Android 4.2.1 – Jelly Bean
So it’s a pretty good tablet, even for $180, it’ll do just about everything you through at it. As long as you don’t throw some Touchwiz or Sense stuff at it. Of course it’s a Nexus so you can expect updates coming straight from Google and no delays from those pesky carriers. That’s what we love about the Nexus program so much, isn’t it?
This is also a great last minute gift idea for the techie in your family. So who’s going out to pick one of these up in the next day or two? Let us know in the comments below.
