There have been so many rumors about the upcoming LG super-phone that we are already taking it for granted.According to the latest official wording the LG group has brought the best of its divisions – LG Chem, LG Display and LG Innotek — to build this phone. It will be the first quad-core LTE smartphone being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 SoC. Not only will it be “blazing fast” but, according to the manufacturer, it will also offer longer battery life, a thinner profile, as well as a brighter display with new touchscreen panel technology.
This will be possible with the help of a specially designed battery which will deliver more power while maintaining a low profile. The new screen — dubbed True HD IPS+ – is teased to be “clearer than AMOLED displays”, requiring less power and delivering 320ppi at 1280×768 pixels and 470 nits in brightness.
Another exciting bit is that the phone might be significantly thinner due to a new innovation called G2 Touch Hybrid Display, “a unibody unit that eliminates the gap between the glass and the LCD panel as found in traditional touchscreens”. This could be the same technology used by LG for the next iPhone.
