LG Singapore confirms ICS upgrades for Optimus Black,Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D, and more

LG has been doing a lot of flip-flops with Ice Cream Update lately, but it seems everything is going to be good at last. Company’s Singapore arm today confirmed on its official Facebook page that the Ice Cream Sandwich updates are final for Optimus Black, Optimus 2X, 3D, LTE, and Prada phone.

This is the second confirmation for each Optimus 2X and Optimus Black in the recent few days, despite the fact the LG Canada had earlier denied the ICS updates for these devices.Unfortunately, LG has a long history of controversial statements, so we cannot be sure that any of the smartphones mentioned earlier will be getting their ICS update as promised.

In other news, LG plans to launch a superphone in the following weeks. The device is rumored to be equipped with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and will come with LTE support.
According to the latest hearsay, the LG Optimus G will be officially introduced in late August at IFA 2012 trade fair, in Berlin, Germany, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
